Bhopal Hackspace is a hacker/maker space in-the-works.
This space is for artists, tinkerers, tech folk, activists or anyone interested and supportive of a people’s community.
What is a hackspace?
Hackspace is short for hacker or maker space. It is an open, physical place where people can create, explore, experiment/ tinker with, collaborate and learn about technology and art from each other.
Isn’t hacking a bad thing?
No – hackers, tinkerers and makers have an ethic. Like everyone has, or should have. Mutual respect and responsibility towards each other is the basis of this ethic.
What kind of things happen at a hacker space? How can one be part of this? How is the community organised? Important questions! Answers to all these are a work in progress.
